Dear Imagine Parents,
It was a great week to be a Thunderbird! All the students are working hard and we are seeing a ton of academic progress. Our awards assembly on Tuesday was a great way to celebrate our students’ efforts and share congratulations in front of their peers and family members who joined the assembly. Thanks again for those parents and grandparents who attended!
Quick update on the final collections for The Pennies for Pasta Fundraiser for Cancer: As a school we raised over $2,300 for the organization! Thanks so much for all the students and families who supported this cause and showed their love for Jasmine Goldstein. Mrs. Zuppinger’s class has won the Pasta Feast sponsored by Olive Garden for raising the most money as a class. Mrs. Whightsel and Mrs. Patterson’s classes tied for second. Class totals follow the end of this newsletter.
This Saturday is the regional Odyssey of the Mind Competition. Our students in OM grades 1-8 will be competing against the best of the best in the region in spontaneous prompts that require strategic and creative problem solving activities and they will also be showcasing the long term projects they worked on all year. We want to wish all our kids the best of luck in this rigorous competition and let them know how proud we are of their efforts!
Beginning Tuesday, please help us win a technology grant worth $50,000! We have entered a student’s drawing into a contest about what they want to be when they grow up and why. We are able to vote once per day, every day. Please share the link via email and Facebook every day so we can garner enough votes to win this amazing contest! Look for the link on our web-site and in your child's agenda on Tuesday.
Open enrollment for Manatee County has begun! Your child’s recommitment form is in your child’s Friday Folder. Make sure you return it immediately and add any siblings who will be joining us as well! We will collect these forms for a week and then open available seats to new students enrolling for next year. Please make sure to return the forms as soon as possible so that we can reserve a seat for your child. Tell all your friends and neighbors that now is the time to register for next school year in order to be guaranteed a place for next year. Included in your Friday Folder with the recommitment forms is a “tell a friend” card. Please pass along your card to a parent who may want to visit our campus and join the Thunderbirds next year. We have already received a number of new enrollments at many different grade levels so we don’t you’re your friends or families to miss out! Enrollment forms are currently being accepted for the VPK program though 8th grade and can be completed in person or online. Enrollment for preschool ages 2 and 3 is ongoing.
